    Your technique will improve and irritations and nicks go away don't worry. Follow advices above and yes Nivea is cheap, common and effective.

    Last night I made a super lather with Col. Konks lime glycerin and Proraso red. I also did my whole face. The aftershave I used was different too. Masters Checkered Flag that the guy from Rubinovs suggested. Used a hot towel wrap first. This combination worked nicely. Just a few minor nicks but the burn wasn't as bad as the first shave.
