Barrister and Mann Aftershave

I just received a sample of Barrister and Mann's Kyovu Original and Bay Rum aftershave. Last night I tried the Kyovu Original. It did really well soothing my face after shaving. The only draw back was the smell. The base smell was very pleasing, But there seemed to be kind of an "after smell". It is hard to describe. Just a whiff of a musty mildewy smell. It may be me but it was an odd smell. Has anyone else tried Kyovu Aftershave?

I know exactly what you are talking about. It is a bit sour. I emailed the owner about it. He said it was an emulsifier and that some people noticed it more than others.
