Hey all! Just woke up and decided to shake things up a bit. I'm usually a night shower/shaver. Last night I was just a bit too tired and not too funky so I thought I'd push it out till morning. I got up right at the alarm as opposed to after a snooze or two and had my shower and a nice shave. I feel super refreshed!!! I am ready to take on the day now Gents! What do you say? When is your favorite time of day to have your shave and shower?? :needcoffee:
I have always shaved right out of the shower. If I shower in the evening, by morning I'm already a little funky, and need another shave. So I almost always shower and shave in the morning. If I'm in for a morning of yard work or something, I might hold off on my shower till the afternoon, so I shave then.
Sunday to Thursday, morning shave,
Friday, evening shave
Saturday, no shave.
I'm a night time shaver.
My wife allows me to splurge on all this stuff so I like to shave at night, lay in bed, and have her enjoy the great manly smell that radiates off of me. She loves smelling my face so I feel its cheating her if I shave in the morning for others to enjoy my aroma.
I shave super diligently twice a week at some point in time. Usually.
During the week I get up far to early to shave so its always in the evening. But on the weekend its a morning or early afternoon shave.
I have been able to determine so far in the experience that i can shave with coffee or with beer. Probably getting the better shaves with coffee (the ones that make it pointless to shave again in 24hrs) . But i won't rush. If i don't have time for 2.5 passes, then I won't shave.
And I do give myself a better shave on 36-48hrs of stubble. Theory: longer stubble overlaps more, putting more hairs on the edge at one time, giving better "bite" as well as feedback, and easier to see for touchup. Also that the skin has had more recovery time.
Evening shave in a rush got me a little nick yesterday (no pics, remember--rush). But it was a good conversation starter last night-had several folks interested in the SR at our gathering...

I usually shave in the evening, just because its cooler here, and my skin prefers cool rather than hot shave / hot post shave environment.
I occasionally like a morning shave if I'm not going to work (I work physically) and do like the buzz of a morning shave especially with Proraso free or similar.
As long as I shave I'm happy :)
Do not work anymore,guess I am retired.I shave when my wife tells me I look like a derilect street person.
Go sometimes a couple weeks:)
I am an early riser too which is why I am a night groomer, but I am thinking of making the switch to morning permanent after how invigorated felt this morning.Quote:

Wow, that's a lot of night shavers! Past 8pm, I'm not sure I trust myself to comb my hair without injury.
I am also a night shaver. I like to go to bed clean. Also I like to lounge in the morning.
From monday to friday i wake up 45 minutes before erveryone in the house just enjoy my shave. I found out i wake up in a better mood doing this. Saturday and Sunday in the time i want to do it.
I shave at night. I usually end up with mild razor burn because my skin is so sensitive and by morning it's usually calmed down.
I too shave at night, find it a good way to force a nice relaxing unwind on me and slow down the grey matter
Morning normally for mine the only arvo or night shaves are for social outings to keep the points up LoL
It's mornings here Mon-Fri.
Sat-Sun, I shave on my own terms...that way I feel like I'm sticking it to 'The Man'
Funny thing is, Mon-Fri, I'm considered The Man. If they only knew!!
I like a night shave if a little stubble at 5:00pm the next day isn't on my mind.
I get up at 5:30am and usually enjoy a leisurely shower, shave, coffee and full breakfast when I don't have to git before 7:30am.
I just like a shave - doesn't seem to matter when.
Never liked or cared about shaving until I discovered straight razors were my schtick-la.
Eight months down the road speed and quality are pretty good so timing isn't too critical.
(Heljestrand MK30 x MWF and Pinaud aftershave today, 6:00am to 6:20am).
I sometimes wonder if an open comb DE would be much faster and as enjoyable.
Screw the DE.

Always in the late afternoon/evening for me, preferably when the house is empty and free of distractions and annoyances. I don't like to have to rush like I would if I was shaving before work in the AM.
I usually shave in the evening, but my favourite is when me and my (long distance relationship) girlfriend go on 'Skype-dates'. She straightens her hair and I shave while we are both on Skype!
M-F, night shaver. Saturday and Sunday, morning shaver.

I shave whenever I get a break from all the hustle and bustle.I like to enjoy my shaves.Take my time.I work construction, no one cares about being unshaven.:rock:
I'm a cyclist and I've found that I have to be careful about shaving after a long ride. I take a hot shower before I shave and it's natural for me to want to do this after returning from pedaling. I've had times when after 40+ miles I shower and begin shaving only to find my hands a bit shaky from being a bit depleted, energy-wise and probably blood sugar-wise. I have to make sure I eat something before beginning this routine since straight shaving with a shaky hand is not a good thing.

On weekdays, I shave between 4:30 and 5:00 AM.
On weekends, its whenever I drag my lazy a$$ out of bed.

I normally shave at night after my shower, the hot shower is a good face prep. The exception would be the odd Saturday or Sunday I have off from work, then I'll skip the night before & shave in the morning. It's refreshing start to the day. Other than that, I don't have time to shave before work, as I'm up at 5:00 and already in a rush! :)
I am a nightowl and very tired in the morning so for me it is a no-brainer to shave in the evening. If I get up in time to brush my teeth that is good enough, make time for a shave? Don't think so. When I am not in a rush in the morning I can shave then if I feel like it but that doesn't happen very often.
