We hesitate to highlight the “all-natural” characteristics, because that might imply a conditional recommendation. Rather, Green Mountain Soap is an excellent shaving product that additionally contains no artificial components to irritate the skin. The skin care from the soap is also remarkable, whether the soap is all-natural or not. Many lathering products are heavily perfumed and make thick lather (regardless of their shave performance); new users may note the difference between GMS and these lathers. But we consider Green Mountain’s soap to be in a different league from popular soaps like Tabac, Williams, or Mitchell’s Wool Fat. We recommend the soap. We also recommend experimenting with it for a week of shaving to become accustomed to its ‘thirsty’ lather, as once will probably not be enough.
My feelings exactly. As a bonus, the people who make Green Mountain Soap don't make a fuss about their products, they just deliver quality. Unlike, say, certain "artisan" soap makers who are very noisy but deliver mediocre products.
