Default New Pre-Shave Soaps - Melaluca Aloe Vera/Glycerin and some Olive Oil Soap from Greece

    Aloha!

Just got a re-supply of Melaleuca soap for pre-shave skin prep. Melaleuca has naturally derived Aloe Vera and Glycerin. It feels wonderful on the skin, rinses ultra-clean and prepares the skin very well for shaving. It also lasts a very long time. Most people like the Platinum bar for the face and the Pineapple/Mango for the body, but I think they are both great for the face.

Also, a friend in Greece sent me a sample of some pure Geek Olive Oil soap (pictured). I'm looking forward to trying this. I've used so-called "olive oil" soaps on the face before, but now thanks to a good friend, I have the real deal from Greece.

    Mahalo!

    Aloha Mr. Zipzop,
So I took your advice on pre-shave prep. I was at a local soap shop in Idyllwild, CA where I had previously purchased a french shave soap Pre De Provence which I really like. They did not have a pre-shave soap so I simply asked for Melaleuca which they had in their house brand. I used it on my face two times while showering. It really seamed to make a difference. My beard was much softer than usual. I really noticed a difference on my chin where the hair is particularly course and difficult to shave. Since it is only my 5th or 6th straight razor shave, I don't have much to compare it to. But I think it helped so I'm gonna stick to it. THANK YOU!!

    Aloha!

That's great news. I'm happy that it makes a difference to your skin. It really does on my skin and it's becoming the only soap I use in the shower these days. Once when I was in a big hurry, I lathered-up with Melaleuca (just rubbing the bar in my hands until I got a lather of sorts) and shaved in the shower. No problems. But IMO, it's a wonderful soap for prepping for a shave. SWMBO is a huge fan of Melaleuca, and we have their coffee (naturally sourced), their bath and face soaps, laundry detergents, and a few other of their products.

I tried that genuine Greek Olive Oil soap in my first post. Good soap, but honestly, Melaleuca is much better on my skin for a pre-shave.

Thanks for letting me know and enjoy!
