    Thumbs up exothermic face wash?

A couple weeks ago I was in walgreens and saw this stuff; It's from Gillette's new line of shaving products to go along with its new razor-blade-cartridge-garbage system.

Anyway, for 4 bucks (they are really promoting this stuff for the short term) I bought one. It's got the usual exfoliating gritty bits that you find in a lot of facewashes, but it has some element that must exothermically react with water to produce a noticeable but not uncomfortable temperature increase. It's an interesting sensation if nothing else, but I've also actually noticed an improvement in my shaves lately.

I was wondering if anyone had seen/tried this stuff or heard of any other thermochemically-enhanced products like it. I think it does a pretty good job of further softening whiskers due to the added heat.

Are you sure it actually heats up, or does it just feel that way? There are any number of chemicals that will trigger your skins heat sensing nerves but that do not actually increase temperature.

It's that hydrofluoric acid. It really warms the skin and exfoliates.

Yeah, it's important to exfoliate before you drag- I'm sorry- Glide a five bladed Venetian blind across your face.

IME the act of shaving (especially with a straight) provides not only all exfoliation I need, but all the exfoliation my face can tolerate. Any more and I`m in irritation country.

    Default metrothermic face wash

Water. Soap. Brush. Blade. Now just stop it. Exfoliation is bad for the soul.
