Seeing that it's St. Paddy's day today, I broke out the Lime Sec.
I'm going with some vintage Clubman this evening :chapeau

Going with original today as well
Bay Rum for me. I'll drink some Irish whiskey to celebrate St. Paddies day but I can't splash on the Lime Sec. :beer2:
It's Classic Vanilla for me today.
My Magic 8 ball said "Most definitely" to Vanilla today.
Had to go Original since today was personally special and Original is like comfort food to me.
Bought a lot off the bay on the cheap to work on honing and restoring. It had a 6/8 Sq point from a company that I never heard mentioned. Forgot the name but nothing special. It's one of the thousands of little companies from the 50-60's (I believe). It is good Solingen steel.
I cleaned it up with some steel wool/WD40, and went to honing. It was my first attempt at setting the bevel and progressing up the grits. At least my first time solo and I didn't have Marty there to fixed up the less than worthy edge I had honed.
I can’t thank Marty enough for his one on one. Totally set me up for success! Progressed from 1k through my 4k/ 8K Norton then finished it on the 8K (taking the advice of others and learning my 4k/8k Norton before I get a finisher).
Big thanks to Glen and Mark for their YouTube on finishing with the 8k—It was helpful BIGTIME!
Went through a CroX-Web-leather stropping progression and BAM! Pretty freaking good shave this morning. Plus, I found out I really like the larger 6/8 vs the 5/8 I’ve used in the past.
Sorry for the long “Clubman Friday” post, but I’m pretty stoked as I sit here and wait for patients to roll in.
Have a great day fella’s,
Jer

And remember an Irish gentleman is never truly drunk as long as he can hold on to a blade of grass to keep from falling off the earth.
Cheers men.
