Bongo the seller told me the lid is a loss. They said it just sits on the bottle and will easily fall off. Not sure if I can fix it or not. Worst case...I will just put a cork in it. :rofl2:

We will see,,, most sellers have no experience with the mechanics of the bottle & how to restore it. We might get lucky on this one.
Got my glass bottle! The bottle is in amazing shape, just needs cleaned out. The cap it pretty rough. I think its all there but I don't know if it is salvageable.

I stopped in a couple of stores this afternoon and tried to look for some bottles...
My eyes have enough of a hard time looking for a straight or a hone let alone looking in all the frilly bottles.
Your hand in the last picture at least gives me an idea of the size I am looking for.

I'm sorry - are there other options? Hirlau's word is the gold standard for Fridays so why would you accept anything less??
Always clubman original for me on this day
Snow is in the forecast tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday. Going to hunker down and smell fantastic with the great Original Clubman. :nj
When you encounter a large group of bottles at an antique store,,, don't try to decipher the writings on the bottles at first glance,,, look at the tops of the bottles, the opening(lips) of the bottles give them away fast. Pinaud bottles have but a few styles,,, most of which you can learn/see here on this thread. Pop bottles, medicine bottles, steak sauce bottles are different.
Today will be a Vanilla day,,, later tonight.
I blame John. Bought another.
