Do any of you guys use vintage aftershave or cologne? I'm still using old spice burley from the late 60's and amber factor for men by max factor from about the same era. What's the oldest you have or use? I look forward to hear what you guys have.

I have some old spice from the 70s that i'm using up. still smells great.
Yes Sir sure, if you’re lucky enough to find some that hasn’t turned to turpentine he, he. The Hess Sweet Pea is a favorite and almost gone :( sad clown face.. Scent is part of the nostalgia.

Yes I have one vintage Old Spice AS and one vintage soap Yardley. All is good so long as they have not gone off.

Yes, I have vintage aftershaves & soap,,, they don't get used. They are for collecting, AFAIC,,,
100 years from now, I hope to have the only full bottle of original Old Spice. :beer2:
I have a complete set of Old Spice of every Bottle, Travel Bottle, Travel Set, Mug, and Soap from the 1930's through 1993. Including After Shave, Cologne and Talcum Powder.
One of these days (when my RAD and HAD have been cured by future medical discoveries!) I'll have a cabinet made to showcase this particular psychological disorder of mine, which I call OSAD! :gaah:

I've been lucky so far, no bad bottles yet. Most brands pre 1990 seem to keep well.
Ha ha maybe :o
I like to use old stuff. Out of 40 some NOS and used bottles and sets, some dating to the forties, perhaps earlier, I had one poor one. Garage sales are wonderful...as is Modine's stash. The 52+% grain alcohol makes them almost impervious to spoilage. Haven't tried burning any but they should glow well, they surely do make my face bright!:beer1: I picked up a NOS "Wildroot Hair Oi"l today for a buck! Smells great!

Ahh, Pinaud Clubman. You'll feel like JFK :) Sometimes described as the quintessential Barbershop scent
Ok, just when I thought I had a complete thrift/garage sale/antique store shopping list, you guys gotta go add something else to it. Who knew?
Hey Geezer, does hair oil mean it's just for hair or can be used as an aftershave ?
p.s no hair here hehe
I guessed I could try it after a shave, if it's old barbershop I'm in hehe
I found a bottle of old spice from about 30 years ago, love it!
The Fitch product was made in my little po-dunk hometown of Boone, Iowa. At one time a pretty large volume producer of patent medicines, miracle hair growth products, and the like. The Fitch building still stands and now houses an antique store. I was back home visiting my dad this weekend and gave it a good once over but was perturbed at the noteworthy non-availability of any Fitch products...
