Truefitt and Hill Freshman Aftershave Combo

I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation as far as a soap, cream, and or preshave oil that would compliment Truefitt and Hill Freshman aftershave? I currently use unscented shave cream when using the aftershave as I like the scent of the aftershave and do not want to drown it out with a different scent. This works, but I am just wondering if there may be something that would go well with it. The scent is similar to CoolWater Cologne.

Top notes: lemon, bergamot, rosemary, mint, & orange blossom; mid notes: clary sage, lily of the valley, jasmin, & ylang-ylang; base notes: musk & oakmoss

I like the Truefitt & Hill Grafton in the cream. It is not a super strong scent and pairs well with all but the lime & 1805 scents. It might not work with others, but those are the ones that stand out.

Penhaligon's Sartorial cream goes with lots of stuff too.

Although, all of my shave creams are over powered by any cologne as soon as I splash it on. I see the scent as a kind of prep for my nose for the following cologne.

Thank you for the info. I went ahead and purchased the Penhaligon's Sartorial cream and the Truefitt & Hill Grafton cream. I will give them a try and report back.

I tried the Penhaligon's Sartorial cream this morning, nice sent. It did start to dry out fairly quickly and it began to flake off my skin like snow mid shave. I was taking my time, but no more than with other creams. I am wondering if Penhaligon's just needs more water?

Both the truefitt and penhaligon's can take a good amount of water.

I face lather, so I will apply about an almond size amount, then wet my fingers and rub a bit. This helps to spread out the cream and jump start the process.

Usually my baseline is if any lather sticks to the blade after a quick run under water, it is too dry.
