Hi Bob,
No, I didn't mean to restrict the thread to only after shaves when I first posted the question; as far as I'm concerned I'm interested in colognes and after shaves as well. i wouldn't mind trying the C O Bigalow, it's certainly one that is on the top of my list!
Having a bad day, misunderstood again ^.

Also, my girl (she is vehemently not a SWMBO) loves CS's Black Lavender. Given how poorly it lathers though, I'm thinking I'll pair it with a cream...suggestions?
My wife hates the typical bay rum and all the after shaves that you can buy at the store. For cologne on dressy days I will wear Armani Code and she loves that. I made a soap with that fragrance oil and added lime to it because she likes lime alot too and she loves that combo very much. I also made a clove and vanilla soap and she likes that one alot too. The one that wins them out amongst all others in the scent department though is my cavendish pipe tobacco and leather shave soap. And I am trying to recreate that scent for an a/s but it has seemed impossible to get the leather scent right.
My wife has very distinct opinions on all my colognes and after-shaves.
Here's some of her favorites in no particular order:
Domenico Caraceni 1913
Creed Wall Street
Creed Chez Bond
Creed Sublime Vanille
Amouage Epic Man
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme
Guerlain Habit Rouge
Penhaligons Endymion
Xpec
Floris Elite
C&S #88
She has many but number one is Amouage Interlude Woman.
I don't think my Wife cares, unless it offends her senses. But if I do get a comment it's usally L'Occitane baux or Vetiver
A lot of the featured SOTDs seem to favor Aqua Velva...
