Default One balm to rule them all

    Castle Forbes 1445, great stuff!
From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

I have CF 1445 as well, and it is indeed a great product. I have to admit that I wasn't too keen on the scent at first, but it eventually grew on me. Expensive but nice.

I used to use this balm as well. Do you notice a slight green residue on your face after applying this balm?
1445 is a fern-like woody scent, quite masculine and fresh at the same time.

Now I have the Lavender though which seems to work fine for my strange skin...

Nope, never noticed that before. My skin seems to like it really well. My nose enjoys it more.

Boellis Panama 1924 is another stellar balm.
The soothing qualities, and the way it leaves my skin is simply put divine

Well that's good to know It's also the cheaper one of the four CF balms out there. Well, at least for us here in the UK...

Been meaning to try this one. I got the soap from WCS a while ago but I don't have it any more. The balm does seem to get some great reviews and I'm always looking for a new balm somehow...

The best aftershave balsam for me is the Fitjar K3 ekstra.
It is a very rich, heavy duty balsam. It has the best calming and skin-repairing properties I have ever seen in an aftershave balsam. In fact, this is the highest standard that I try to recreate when I make my own homemade balsams.

Second comes Sienna, by Crabtree & Evelyn. God how muchI love this scent!
I‘d love to be able to recreate this scent to my own balms.

Yes, the CF 1445 balm is wonderful. Later on, I shpritz on some of the CF 1445 EdP, and feel like a gentleman... together with the CF Cedarwood & Sandalwood shaving cream, you've got a trifecta! 'Tis a shame that South Florida is not conducive to wearing woolen tweeds.
