I currently use their preshave and green tea cream, both very nice (though MWF is my favorite).
Question is, has anyone tried their aftershave? If so please describe or compare.
Thanks

their aftershave comes in a splash (alcohol) and a balm. I currently own and use both on a regular basis. I mix a bit of the two in my hands after shaving and then apply. The splash closes the pores and the balm soothes burn and moisturizes the skin very nicely. I would reccomend them to any lover of Proraso. They also contain the great menthol smell we all love :)
I have been using the Proraso splash for some 2 years now and it's one of my favourites. Great scent with just the right amount of menthol kick. The new Proraso splash has just been released, however, and this one comes with added eucaliptus
Well: I was using Castle Forbes and no issues with the pre shave but the main issue with it is the cost. Its very high. Then a friend talk to me about Proraso pre and post shave. I try it and at the begining was to much menthol but after two more times I was very happy because give me a very fresh feeling in the face for entire day in union with the after shave i used which is harris sandalwood. I don't know about the new change, if somebody let me know. But keep using it. The price is the most beutifull thing.
Thanks

I have used both the Proraso balm and splash and I like the splash much better because of the menthol. If my face feels dry I just use a quality moisturizer.
I do enjoy the balm. Very mild and soothing, with nothing that causes any real irritation.
I've got some splash on order, but have heard nothing but good about it!.
I had the balm on order... and after reading the reviews from you all I felt a bit of purchasers remorse. Then I got an email saying the order was canceled and my money refunded due to it being out of stock... so YAY blessing in disguise and I can now order up the splash!
Just a side note, if allowed, does anyone have a reciepe to make a decent substitute for Proraso pre/post shave, the one that comes in a green jar??? Its' creamy and the kick I get both going in and comeing out it just great!!
I thank you for you support, as ever, I still am,

The splash is lightly scented and has the menthol kick you have heard about. It seems as though it doesn't have much alcohol, but after looking at the ingredients it still has some. Good stuff.
I'm a Proraso green, blue user and I just used the Proraso aftershave splash after a nice shave with Institut Karite Paris cream. After which, a witch hazel splash, some creamo scentless moisturizer then the aftershave splash.
I am a big fan of the Proraso products and this AS product did not let me down. The menthol isn't as overpowering as it might sound neither is the scent which is very pleasant, btw. I can take my hand and wipe my face and still detect on my fingers the shave cream I used beneath the AS. Very nice!
Balm guy - like it. I have sensitive skin and shaving daily during cold, dry weather doesn't help. Proraso balm does. It has a slight vegital aroma, not unpleasant, that lasts about 10-seconds.
Just got a bottle of Proraso AS a couple months ago and lovin it. Imagine a fragrance a bit softer than the Proraso Green soap, with a nice citrusy note (from limonene and linalool, I believe).
I really like the Proraso AS. Its a good day scent and has great cooling capabilities. I often splash some on my face and arms when its hot here just for the rush of relief it gives. It must be the menthol as my other AS do not feel not as cooling as this when applied on a hot day.
So for me it has a couple of uses and its one AS I will keep buying.
It's good stuff, just got another bottle in. Just wish it came in a bigger bottle...
I love Proraso soap, but I have never tried the splash so I'm curious as to how long the scent lasts for. This will greatly influence my decision to order some.
I think its good for 3 to 4 hours or so, much the same as any other budget aftershave. Its definitely day wear too, not a sophisticated or strong scent, but is a great AS all the same.
If you want a longer lasting smell best to stick to colognes, but of course you can't splash them on your face.

Thanks for the info. Pinaud Clubman seems to last most of the day for me. I might have to order me some of the Proraso though, sounds like pretty fair reviews.
I use the white proraso aftershave because it helps my irritated skin. It helped stop my red bumps and stops the itchy feeling I get after shaving. It actually pretty refreshing for an aftershave without alcohol. It's been my go to for a month now.
Reflecting on your description, SingingSteel, I'd have to say my senses would agree with your transcription from senses to words. I appreciate your talent to be able to accurately put smells into words.
To be clear, the product does have alcohol:

If only they would release one in their sandalwood scent, I'd be on that in a flash!
They use actual sandalwood oil in the soap ( which is amazing at the price point), which is probably why they don't make an aftershave in that scent, as it would cost considerably more than their other aftershaves. It is a shame, though, the scent is lovely, and their aftershaves are quite good.
Are there any Prorasos that are alcohol free? I'm curious
I also have a couple questions since you guys seem to know your stuff and I'm a noob. I have Proraso green pre shave, shave cream and after shave. Is there a balm that goes with the 'green' line of their products? Secondly, does anyone use their pre-shave as an after shave?
I feel like some have said they use the pre-shave as a moisturizer but I don't think Proraso lists ingredients so I'm curious what you guys think.
I was recently gifted a green Proraso "Liquid Cream After-Shave" and was told it was the last of the last.
Apparently Proraso no longer produces this particular product.
I like it but I should probably be telling you that there is good reason why it has been discontinued.
I heard they still sell the white after shave for sensitive skin.
