I think you find that are model numbers, I have 2 Bengalls stripped at the moment that have different numbers on the inside also, 1 is a 8/8 the other is a 4/8
I would like to share this #1 with you. I picked it up yesterday, it's 18 mm wide and very wedgy, has no hone wear and only has some minor damage to the bevel. It looks like it will take an edge without any problems.
Has anyone any thoughts about its age?
