I saw another Henckels with only one man on it recently for sale on eBay. That was a model 72.
I asked questions about this once before and somebody suggested that there was some sort of a corporate row going on at the time.

Now that is really curious. Why don't you email Henckels with a photo attached of the tang stampings and ask them if it was an off day at the plant or is there a reason for only one of the twins stamped on your razor? I am sure many on here would be interested in the answer to that one.

As far as I know, the single twin indicates it was manufactured by J.A. Henckels International in their facility in Spain. I've read it somewhere at their website, but couldn't find it just now. You can see the first answer here.
I cleaned up my photo a bit.

I had heard something similar many years ago in that a single twin would indicate not made in Germany but elsewhere by a Henckels subsidiary. The elimination of the J.A. from Henckels might be another clue that this is so. At the time a Henckels plant in Brazil made knives for J. A. Henckels I believe.Quote:

Not a fake, just an earlier model from when Clauss & Henckels were partners.
I'd check that answer out. It seems that Clauss and Henkel were partners (1919-1945) which is not Henckels Germany.Quote:

From the 250 anniversary model exist some etching and color variations.
Here is a pick of two variations in my possession.

The first has a blue etching, the twins are placed in a red circle. The color of the print on the scales is blue.
The second one has a black etching on the blade, the background is golden, the twins in red circle. The print on the scales is black.
I have found two other examples here in the thread that are different too.
Markbignosekelly’s example in post 320 has black etching (or blue, cannot really make that out) on the blade, but without golden background, the print on the scales is black.
Mainamans example in post 223 has only golden etching on the blade with black print on the scales.
Any other variations oft hat anniversary model out there?

Must have been a trick off the light. Mine is blue on gold with black print on the scales.
I've seen a few of just gold plating too.
