I'm a total newb and just picked up a pair of DDs through the classifieds here for my starters based on affordability and good reputation as shavers.
I'll be sure to post pics (though they won't compare to the awesomeness I see here, I'm sure) as soon as they are in hand so I can join the club!

As I mentioned before, I purchased my very first straight razor - a DD Special No. 1 - from the classifieds here. Well, it showed up in my mailbox today.
I suppose it's not gonna win any prizes, but I love it for what it is: My first!
