I have 2 right now, and one more on the way. The chromized Sta-Sharp and Craftsman blades are, hands down, my favorite shavers...at least for now. heh heh heh ;)
I know they are some pretty hard steel, and yield a superfine edge when honed up. But I am curious how they match up against some of the more expensive razors.
P.S. I will post pics tomorrow!
Here are my current Sears razors, a Craftsman and a Sta-Sharp.

After looking at the pics, I can see that both need to be cleaned up, and the screws on the red oak scales need to be finished yet. oops
Here is a Koeller Sta-Sharp. I think they are the original manufacturer, and Sears is just a distributor.

It's hard to read, but this one says "Best Silver Steel Guaranteed 5 Years" on it. I buffed out most of the etching to clean it up. Still some pitting near the toe, but the bevel is clean. I shaved with it last night and it doesn't dissapoint! Not bad for $14 dollars
It's hard to say from a one blade sample, but the Silver Steel felt easier to hone (and less crisp during the shave), than the Fine Chromized versions I have.
come on gentlemen step right up, step right up. A troubling situation has arrived in the razor club and that is the use of thumbnail pictures. I know that some of you old timers still remember when the razor clubs were a thing of beauty! with large glossy pictures of razors and we viewed until our hearts content. but those days are through it would seem. I beseech all the members of the razor clubs to take the poll in the general section and vote to restore large pictures to our beloved razor clubs. It is up to us gent and together we can restore these clubs to there former glory!!!!!!

For anyone that hasn't tried these blades you should find one, these things will shave with any high end vintage razor out there, super fine grind and will hold their edge!!!!!!

quick question and i don't know if it belongs here but do these carry the craftsman lifetime warranty?
WOW, what a great question! I will try emailing Craftsman QC and see what they say.:hmmm:
Although, it would have to be worn down to nothing to be considered unusable. I will pester them and see if I can get them to manufacture me some new replacement razors!
Edit: from the Sears website (my bold)
Craftsman Tools not covered by the lifetime warranty include: Micro-adjustable torque wrench calibration, Hand tools cutting edges, Portable electric tools, Bench and Stationary tools, Battery operated tools, Precision measuring tools.
aww, nuts
Actually they do, if ya read the insert they are covered.... I wonder if I could ever collect on it
