I've got a couple of Solingen blades, but the Sheffields are my favorites. The Wades got posted in the Butcher Shop, but I felt this Rodgers & Sons needed a home as well. :-)

William Johnson 'warranted' Sheffield, some damage to the end of one scale, no problem it shaves beautifully !
Any information on this maker and a rough date would be welcome thanks !
I picked up this Sheffield razor today and don't have a clue who made it. I just liked the looks of it and I think it will clean up OK. Any ideas who might have made this one?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...abf9070dd5.jpg
I seem to run into Sheffields more than anything else.
Joseph Rodgers and sons, Frederick Reynolds and a Joseph Elliot 9/8 chopper. Have another Joseph Elliot not pictured and recently sold an old W&B.

So I'm a noob, just starting this journey. Because I was born in England I have decided to go Sheffield with my first "good" razor. My first was a "surprise" blade from Larry at Dog Whipped (Bengall full hollow). I decided on this Joseph Rodgers and Son's 6/8 half hollow with ivory restored by Matt at Griffith Shaving Goods. Thrilled to be among the Sheffield Shavers :o
