I have two Hart razors. The first is a 6/8, polished, round, with jimps and black scales. I liked it so much that I bought a 6/8, satin, round, with black scales.
I love them both. They easily hold their own with any of my top razors (6/8 Thiers-Issard Le Grelot, 13/16 J. A. Henckels 72 1/2, 5/8 Dovo Prima Klang, and 6/8 Revisor Prima Solingen 6-0029.
You can't go wrong with a Hart!
Hello, I purchased a Hart for my first shave, and it is absolutely wonderful. Mine was made by "JA"
I have a round point by BG. I've stropped it but have yet to shave with it.
I now own 4 of these great Razors 2 6/8 square point a BG and a TV, also a polished round point by TV and 1 7/8 square point by BG I really like these razors and will keep buying as long as they keep coming out with different styles.
I have had a couple of Hart razors and love the 7/8 Square Point. At the time of writing this there are some
special release Hart razors on Classic Shaving website. A dropdown menu from their straight razors link on the left side of the home page reveal 4 special edition razors. I am thinking these are the MG steel TZ talked about
Hart beginning to use.
I've yet to try a Hart, though I will one of these day, when the wallet is as willing as the spirit. I'd be very tempted by that notch point .... so called .... I don't call that a notch point but YMMV ..... but jimpless ? Anyway, I love jimps. The details on the page note that those 'special' editions are made with 01 steel.
Love the one I have and BG was also the maker of mine. Excellent shaver. Nice and simple and functional and AMERICAN made !
I have a 7/8 square point polished with Cocobolo scales it's an amazing razor.
Hart Razors are the Harley Davidson of straight razors.
