That Gran Mogul is sweeeeeet!
Thanks guys the Gran Mogul came to me NOS, has been honed, and used once! It is a sublime shaver. The Sub Cero was NOS as well, and has been honed, but not yet used. The Salamanca Filarmonica has perhaps the best and thinnest grind of any razor I have ever used...it could be my favorite shaver!

I also have this first this 1st Generation Filarmonica Especial 14...it has been shortened to 2 and 8/9, and has had a rough life! That being said it is still 7/8 and a sweet shaver with a beautiful grind. That’s all the 14s that I have in my collection!

A French #14 to add to the collection. I’ve never heard of C.L.A and couldn’t find anything on the web. The logo is quite peculiar.

I bid on this beauty as well. Couldn't find anything on the internet either. Not many French 14s out there. Nice looking razor and interesting logo. Good for you and glad it went to a SRP member.
Pair of Gen 1 Medallon Taurino 14s, ‘JMP’ blades.

Scored this beautiful NOS Ern #14 with an impeccable bellied full hollow grind as a bonus. Looking forward to honing it and the shave.

Badgister, you either have the golden touch for finding and acquiring those beautiful razors or you have horseshoes up your .....
Lovely blade!
Fantastic score!
Enjoy it.
New in box Filarmonica 14 Novodur. It was actually sealed in it’s cellophane (?) bag inside the coffin. You always wonder if someone just bagged an old razor, but the seller is a friend and the razor has no spine wear, a terrible (factory, lol) bevel, and is cosmetically 100%. Surprisingly, about half of that awful looking edge would pass HHT in or out. But I slapped a layer of 1 mil Kapton on it and honed from 4k to finish and the first shave was world class.
Very nice, Steve :chapeau
This one in this morning, and now has a very smooth Jnat edge on it.
Steve, looks like the flashers on the French razor are sporting different hats, beanie and baseball cap as opposed to the fedoras on the Kobar. But there must surely be a link.
Hello Zayid,
I think so, nothing else is even close that I’ve seen. Perhaps the ‘flashers’ changed over time, or maybe they changed it a little for export razors? They also used that logo on scales as they did in the above image, if you do Google-fu for images. Some of them had red ‘coats’ it seems.
Gents: it's been a while since I visited this forum and this # 14 topic I started quite a while ago.
It was a real pleasure reading up on it: thank you all for your nice pictures!
Kindest regards, Jazor
User grade F14 Sub Cero from Marcela, over 1” wide to the top of the spine - full width.
@Steve56: thanks for sharing that beautiful 14.
How does it shave?
Kindest regards, Jazor
This one should be on the way from France soon. Seller’s images.
Here’s its sibling with a square point.
@Steve56: both gorgeous. My personal preference are the square noses.
Do let us know how they shave pls?
Grazors, Jazors
What to you boys think of the Boker 14?

Notice this has a double stabilizer
And this version doesn't
Attachment 338058
Both are listed as extra full hollow
The bottom one looks the part but unless they came across a bunch of 14 blanks, possible but not likely, boker are trying to reproduce an iconic razor. The stabiliser on the first photo suggests that's what they are doing.
Most Bokers I have seen in the past were all 5/8s. I love larger blades like these you show. I wonder if they are made from the same 14 stock as other German straights in the past and the Filarmonicas. Very nice. I like extra full hollow a lot as well.
I know Hugo Herkenrath http://www.hugo-herkenrath.de/en/raz...e=rasiermesser are still forging blanks but I don’t know if the Boker #14 are Herkenrath or thay are forging their own.
Looks like a #14 blank right there on that page.
Nice Boker, new or old stock all well.
Herkenrath is a respected forger / pre producer.
Of course they are based in Solingen.
Might be one of the last remaining over there...
Greetings Jazor
Thanks for sharing that Böker Mark.
Fueled my RAD again...
Pity they didn’t go for good quality buffalo horn scales for such a razor.
Tempting though.
Are these current production razors? Scales seem to suggest....
I didn't see where/ if, I had posted this one.
A Eugenio Hoppe. Aevos #14. The Frog King

Bought it at a estate sale.
In typical German efficiency I got an email back already stating Boker produce all their own razors including the Damascus range.
@outback: thanks for sharing that Hoppe, nice one.
Greetings, Jazor
NOS TI 14 7/8 in today, good hard French steel, cr@p scales, lol.
