Thanks for the information and very interesting to find out that all these makers made 14 blanks, do you have any idea what the number 14 signifies?

Somebody say Wusthof?? Where?? What??
I have this old 7 Day set of Ed Wustof razors, all except one have not been honed, they look brand new, one has been ground a little bit on the heel, might have been slightly damaged. They are labelled Monday to Sunday in English.
Here's some pics before I get "Off Topic'd"

@ Revisor: thanks for sharing that picture. Very impressive indeed! Also a nice line up of names that issued # 14's.
After your picture, we all have more RAD'ding to do imho.
Keep the pictures coming people: wonderful topic we are making this, thank you.
Kindest regards, Jazor.
Great deal on this hopefully not as beat up as it looks, J. A. Henckels #14, 24mm, "Guillermo Hoppe" straight razor.

That is a fine looking piece my friend. Oddly enough I do not have one quite like that in my Henckels collection, I do have 14's just not any ground by Guillermo Hoppe. I think Val will have that looking pretty grand in short order.
I had always though that he was a well know grinder that finished razors, but to be honest I will have to google that.
