Alright, So I bought a 5/8 Cox and Son.

So I wanted to buy a cheap razor so that when I start to learn to hone, I won't mess up my nice Dovo. Its a 5/8 Cox and Son with the original box and the year 1937 written on the box. It seems like its in great condition no staining not to mention rust anywhere. The scales seems to be in good order. Well I basically am wanting to know if this was a good company as I couldn't find any info in SRP's straight razor data base and couldn't really find any info on google.

John Cox, later Cox and Son, was an English gunmaker and cutler,who began trading from 13 High Street, Southampton, Hampshire, in 1843. After a move to 7 Bernard St. in 1854, John Cox died in the early 1860's; business was carried on for a few years by his widow Mary-Ann, then by his son. Cox & Son was still trading from 28 High Street at the turn of the century.
