Heirloom Razors
I just received 3 razors that used to belong to my Great-Grandfather. Can anyone tell me anything about history condition or age? Can I still use these for daily shavers? That is ultimately my goal. I am new to Straight razor shaving and have been using a Parker disposable for the last month. Any tips?
1st Razor J.A. Henckels Twin works labeled with a 1.

Other than a little hone wear and the need for a cleanup and honing, I see nothing wrong with them.

I agree. It appears that clean up and some serious honing will bring them right along. You need to check our library for a wealth of information. We also have some of the best honing and restoration folks you can find anywhere. Lynn's shaving CD available from our classifieds section is worth its weight x 10 in gold to get you on track. Enjoy.

Not too much wrong with them. Lovely heirlooms. Go to that meet if you can.
