I believe the GR stands for George's reign (King George IV), so that would put it between 1821 and 1830. Its a beautiful blade.
'GR' stands for King George, R being short for Rex, latin for King.
Rodgers spanned the reign of three King Georges - III, IV and V 1760-1820, 1820-1830, 1910-1936.
The star and cross symbols were registered by Rodgers in 1764 (formerly the property of Benjamin Rich). At first they made just pen and pocket knives, they added table cutlery and razors around 1800.
