I like a hand forged razor, as opposed to stock removal. I don't doubt that one is as good as the other, and not trying to start that debate here. Just my personal preference. To me there is just something romantic about ,"under a spreading chestnut tree, the village smithy stands" ...... see the rest here .
So I would opt for Robert Williams, Charlie Lewis or Mastro Livi. Maybe some of the other custom guys pound 'em out on the anvil, I don't know. I called Robert on the telephone five years or so ago, described what I wanted, sent him a rough sketch, and just like he did last year with the SRP LE, he made my razor custom to order.

Our own Max Sprecher makes some of the most unique and spot on customs I've seen. He's a perfectionist. If I was to buy another, It'd be off him.
Happy Hunting
P.S. God Jimmy, You can chop up ribs with those. It's a multi tasker.

I am going to add Jenes Sandor and Lloyd Harner to the list, simply because I will be getting razors from them and haven't seen their names here yet. :D

I follow Brian Brown and Max Sprecher on instagram, it's cool to see their work at different stages.
Are there any differences in the steels (carbon) that Brian Brown and Robert Williams uses? Or am I just nit picking :p

Charlie Lewis & Stu of Boxer are some other great makers.
