H.Boker 106 Tree Brand or any other suggestions?

I am looking to buy my man a straight razor, he is quite a fan of them so would be good to get him his first one. I have come across this listing on Ebay: H Boker 106 Tree Brand 5 8 Shave Ready Straight Razor | eBay for a H.Boker 106 Tree Brand 5/8 Shave Ready Straight Razor and was just wondering what the general consensus is on this type/price. I have done a wee bit of research on straight razors in general but does anyone know anything else from experience? Would be great to hear and also any other suggestions or recommendations on other makes.

Hi Jess - Two things: 1. We don't discuss the price for razors on this forum. 2. It's a moot point anyway since this is an auction and the price will change as the auction progresses. If you are the bidder with a 0 feedback count, good luck and I hope you win it for your man.

I would suggest taking a look at the classifieds here. There are many shave ready razors that would be a good purchase for your Man...

Bokers are excellent razors. I cannot see any serious issues with this one at first glance. Some very superfical spotting that won't interfere with use IMHO. As to value: search ebay's completed listings for an approximate current market value.
