You gotta love when a razor you ordered is "out for delivery"

Its the small things that we get to look forward to. For me its a Wade & Butcher I picked up off ebay. I know all the recent interest causing increase in price has inflated things a bit lately for W&B, but my purchase was due to the specifics I wanted in my third razor. There was a Frederick Reynolds Sheffield with an almost identical blade profile that I watched as well. That Frederick's ebay auction ended with a price nearly as high as what I paid. So I guess I'm saying I'm not feeling like I over paid by that much. The auction said my W&B will be shave ready. If all goes well I will test that statement tonight.

If its a Frederick Reynolds or Wade and Butcher, no matter, both are great shavers. I own a few of both and enjoy each one of them very much. I will say some of the FRs can be a bit hard to hone but once you get an edge on one its there for a good while.

At least if you're in the US you'll have your razor in 2 days. Thanks to the brilliance of Canada Post us Canadians routinely have to wait 2 weeks.

Yes, unless the driver decides not to deliver it today and it goes back to the depot until tomorrow.

And the two worst words are Delivery Failure..... specially when you were home all dayyy and they don't leave a NOTE!!! ....might be a littler bitter still.

My new Revisor has been sitting in Mississauga doing nothing for three days...I was about ready to call Canada Post until it was finally processed today along with my TGN knot which finally arrived in Canada as well. If all goes well both should be out for delivery tomorrow morning!

Anyone else notice that USPS seemed slow last week/early this week as well? Normally stuff from the states gets here in exactly seven days. :shrug:

I had that issue a while ago...buddy wouldn't even knock, just write a note in his truck and then quickly put it in the mailbox. Called Canada Post, problem fixed. They always knock or just leave the package inside the door if it's unlocked :)

When my orders don't have a tracking number I lose my mind...
Me: "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?"...Mailman: "Quit asking me, I'll tell you when it's here" ...

Unfortunately for us down here when we order things from Europe or the US the tracking information seems to die at some small town somewhere for around a week or so, and then all off a sudden it turns up. The turn around for delivery down here is three weeks at times...

We're looking forward to a photo in the SOTD thread ;)

I have learned much about myself and waiting for things I order. Now I will pay the extra for faster shipping, insurance, and tracking on nearly everything I order.

I am realizing as I read the responses that I take living in the states for granted sometimes.

These days you have to be careful cause they have all these cheapo services for business customers like economy and basic and smartpost which add days to normal ground shipping.
