Welcome to SRP, Pictures are a great help, the entire razor, and in your description write down all the writings on the razor, the more information you give the better chances of finding its history.
Hey great thank you, I will get some pics and post this razor. It's a very unique piece and the only other one I can find is on display in the Maine Maritime Museum
Here is the razor, says Empire Cutlery Co, Germany "3", then on the blade, Our Best, Hollow Ground. Attachment 143090
Pretty nice looking razor, the blade shows evidence of hone wear and the scales are missing the original paint but looks to be in good condition.
The Empire Cutlery co was based in New York city on Bowery street, from the turn of the century to about 1930's. Came across some other items from Empire with the stamp Solingen Germany, nevertheless its a high quality razor made in Germany for Empire Cutlery Co.

Hey thank you for the information. I have never found any details about this razor before, this was what I needed to continue my research.
Attachment 143107Here is another razor I am working with, would you care to take a look and share your knowledge again ? Sheffield Concaved on the blade, A.J. Jordan Sheffield England. Seems to be wooden as well.
