    I'm in a huge rush at the moment, so this will be brief and I'll post more later, however I really wanted to share this!

    I have not seen either on the net or in real life any case/scales like this previously, some kind of travel razor maybe?

    There is a similar travel razor at Revisor
    Messer der Woche
    I don't think there were a lot of them though. I'd be happy to find one on the cheap.

    They are rather unique and were a feature of early 20th century travelers. They were made from common to highly decorated and some different styles of sheath. Case in the USA had their brand and many others did also. Yours looks like the Case used.

    At the first half of 20th century (1920s-30s), many companies made the similar travel razors.
