Razor identification help please.

So I found another great flea market find, and the little booth it was in was closing down so I got a wonderful 60% off the asking price and bought every straight they had.

I can tell the names and have researched enough on here to figure out the dates Friedmann & Lauterjung imported fine razors in N.Y. However I am having problems finding any identification on this particular model. I have not found any with the carved fancy scales that seem to be celluloid or bakelite. Not sure I can tell the difference.

The makers mark just says Celebrated Razor and then Germany underneath, and I cant make out the name on top of the Celebrated Razor.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen these razors before, they are pretty nice.

All I found was they were in business in 1892

Thank you both, interesting thread I hadnt found before. It seems to be that they are a branch of the start of the Puma line, even though indirectly. Or it was made in Germany and then imported by Friedmann & Lauterjung to the USA for resale.

After some cleaning it seems to be Bakelite scales that I am trying to remove the oxidation from, I am taking a break typing this since I having been scrubbing with toothpaste the last hour.:gaah:

Well I worked on it all morning and here is the polished bakelite scales. They took a lot of effort, and I finally switched over to the cotton wheel and white rouge. After that polishing I switched to my beeswax wheel and buffed the finish.
