I'm currently dating several razors at once.......my wife is getting jealous:rofl2:
Very good score....I believe it's out of print.
That's one of two I'm after at a reasonable price

Interesting never even heard of either of those, might have to checked used book stores.
It's hard to come by, but incredibly helpful is Geoffrey Tweedale's directory of Sheffield cutlers.
I've got the bottom one but second edition, not third. Its got some good info in the beginning but nothing as far as detailed company history on any razors but does list quite a number of manufacturers alphabetically. Not all inclusive by any means. Anyone know of a book with more detailed histories on razor manufacturers/cutlery firms?
See above post, if it's Sheffield cutlers you're after. Here's a link: Tweedale's Directory of Sheffield Cutlery Manufacturers
Bongo, it is a very helpful book, I can honestly say it's much more in depth than I thought it would be. I will tell you that the price on the book is not what it sells for. Actually when she told me what the book cost I about fainted.
Pricing, obviously, is hugely more variable than any 'price guide' would have you believe. Keep a salt-lick handy for that information.
I haven't seen any of the reference material in Doyle's book, so I have nothing to say about that. Examples I've seen quoted from the Ritchie & Stewart book (on the history of Wostenholm, for example) were nearly as wrong as it was possible to be. I wouldn't trust any of their information without fact-checking it first.
