    Question Unknown Solingen

Howdy. Anybody recognize the trademark on this razor?
I picked it up at an antique shop over the weekend; it's in great shape, just a small patch of pitting/rust on the back of the blade that should clean up fine. Specs: 11/16 Barbers Notch 1/2 hollow
    The tank reads:
    Garantie
    Solingen
    400

The trademark appears to be some type of bird of prey holding a crown suspended by a rope in it's beak. The trademark reads 5 Ars --Garanti

Any info would be great! I love learning the history behind each one.

5 Års garantie is swedish/norwegian?/danish? for 5 years guarantee. Made in Solingen for the scandinavian market?

I don't know who made it but it looks like you've got a good one there. Forum member manah will probably be along and he is good at identifying obscure razors.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Jimmy, thanks for kind words. But unfortunately, I could find nothing about this razor. Also what is interesting, why "5 ars garanti"? On German razors it was written "5 jahre garantie". Ars - what language?

Thanks for the info! The language doesn't make sense, but I guess I'll have to go with the 'Ars' being scandinavian (swedish) since that is the closest language match I can find.
    Again, I appreciate the input!

Apologies for reopening an old thread, but I have this razor (albeit with different scales) and would like to confirm what it is. I can confirm the idea that it is Solingen made for the Swedish market. I was told that it is an ERN, but the person that told me was far from certain of that...
