    Default hi i need help with a blade question about pitting

    My one razor which i love the most i just cleaned it up and i noticed a fair bit of pitting now it's not deep at all you can hardly feel it but if i try and grind it out our get the putting out it will destroy the absolutely beautiful carving and the fancy font saying the reaper is pitting harmful to the blade and the pitting isnt by the edge thank you for the help to whom ever answers

    A pic would help. Pitting is only truly harmful if it's into the edge of the blade, not allowing you to hone properly due to the pits.

    Ah ok. Well if the pitting doesn't come into play with the edge then you should be just fine

    If it's not near the edge then pitting is only cosmetic. I reckon that some old, antique blades look much better with a bit of pitting than they do sanded to a smooth surface.

    In the post when you are writing it there is a row of 6 icons on the top right next to the smiley face.
    The 4 th icon from the left (a picture of a tree) will allow you to upload a pic.
    Select "from computer"
    "basic uploader"
    "select file"
    X
    "gallery"
    Find the image and click on it
    "upload image"
    It can be a bit slow to upload but it works.
    Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
