I greatly value both, so I'll most likely get something else.

Spend your hard earned $$ on something other than a grim. You can thank us later.

Whipped dog will give you a great shave ready blade for not a lot of coin, but if you have your heart set on something brand new, something like a theirs-Issard from SRD honed by Lynn will serve you very well.

Thanks RMarsh. I've been looking both of those sites over and really like them. I like connecting with people who sell products as a result of their passion and not just to make a profit. (not that making a profit is bad) WPDDOG and SRD are two great looking vendors.

I think my plan is to see what I have with my great grandfather's blades and then go from there. I think i'd really like to have a conversation with whipped dog.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

IIRC Tim is a member here, maybe somebody should inform him via PM of the rumor for his reaction to it.

The owner of grim blades is a member of the other forum and has confirmed that Tim zowada is involved with then somehow.. To what extent... He didn't come out and say except that they are open to all suggestions by him

Tim Zowada is more than capable of posting about his involvement.

As far as the owner of the business he was banned on this site two years ago, when he first started the business of marketing junk disguised as quality razors. We have repeatedly rejected his attempts to buy an endorsement from us, because this community is about helping prospective shavers, not about helping their fleecing.

    YMMV
