Are all Solingens created equal?

The title pretty much says it all. I was wondering if all Solingen razors are created equally.

no but the raw blanks are all from the same company.

The metal that is used is going to be quite similar, but given the fact that even "mass produced" razors (meaning not what we call custom) are hand-processed and no large manufacturer has just one razor employee, even two Dovo Best Quality's may not be equal.

Have to remember also that each company has their way of heat treating a razor.

Ahh, gotcha, so the HT isnt even done by Solingen but the actual manufacturer? So even if it's a Sol; there could be plenty good or wrong with the blade? Hoping you gents might know of manufacturers to stay away from that use the German steel.

As I understand it, some lesser manufacturers are able to use a loophole wherein their razors are assembled in Germany but the steel could be made anywhere, so they get to stamp "Solingen" on them. Something to be aware of.
