Information on razor production methods.

Hi. I'm looking for information on the production of razors in the UK. What I'm particularly interested in is the production methods and machinery that were used as well as steel types, heat treatment etc.

Is any of the machinery still in existence? Is there anyone still alive who has first hand experience of grinding razors for mass production?
