Nobody could say anything about it?, please please
Well Thaeris, learn me, I´m a simple student quite interested in razor history, many thanks for all you attention
It's a skinny muther.
Wath is "muther", thanks
Well I think I realise, :)
Another neat find, Roberto. Very old. I think French by design and those big collars. Seems to have ivory scales.
That symbol would be the key to some info. Is it a crown?
I hope someone will know something to tell.
I first thought of a grenadier symbol when I saw it.
Well, can't say a lot about this one.
I'd say around 1815, silver and ivory. Overall look makes me feel like he could be french.
Charlie or Martin would surely say more :)
Beautiful anyway, even if I don't know if it would be possible to make a good shaver of this old one.
It´s O K ivory and silver, and the simbol is like a bomb
I would have think about a crown and orb

I completely agree with Thaeris. French, very early 1800's, ivory and silver.
The famous plaque of cutlers marks in Châtellerault has several that are similar, but those marks are only useful for guessing whether or not it was made in Châtellerault, since they don't record the names of the people who struck them. Plus, I believe those marks are quite old. Pre-1700.
I've misplaced the link to the page of marks from the Thiers region, or I'd check there too.
My take on this razor is that its French probably late 18th century by the blade design. Finding a maker for this type of mark is very difficult without a name attach to it.
Most of the records of french marks (poincon) from Thiers go back to early 19th century. I know Zak (Voidmonster) will love this, but its very possible that its from the region of Chattelleraux, some of the marks on the copper plate look very close.

Probably a trademark infringement!
There is also a similiar plate from French Cutlers from Thiers, struck on zinc but it only goes back to 1810.

It does look like a crown over an orb. I also find it very reminiscent of some of these Toledan armourer's marks but as you believe it to be French this may not be relavent.
That IS interesting! Toledan!
This might be the page from Thiers that you posted before, apologies if I got the wrong one:
Les Marques des Couteaux de THIERS
How an interesting discusión !!, I din´t know french razors has all this information in. I´m sure in the firs times all razors in europe were quite similar, and the marks sure a guild marks, in this case here the guilds desapear in the paper with a royal order at the begining of the 18th century, really not untly 1850 more ore less and in landscape the blacksmith marks conserv guild marks untli the last years of the 19th century, after the normal marks were som of the initial letter of the blacksmith name, but razor here¡¡¡¡ no, only axes, sickles and another land use tools. One axemple, scissors in the late years of the 18th century with the Toledo matrk (TO) and guild mark, (a shell), and them another by the same date withe the new marks only a letter.
