New Dovo LaForme and a question.
I just recently purchased a Dovo LaForme from SRD, what a beautiful razor, not my first from SRD and as always the edge was perfectly honed by Lynn. It shaves great, I gave it an initial stropping on the premium 1 leather before I shaved.
the question I have, is that I noticed as I was inspecting the bevel under a bright light before I stropped or shaved, I was able to notice what looked like very tiny micro-chipping along the edge. This of course did not effect the shave in any way as it was perfectly comfortable.
i was just wondering if this is normal, or if anybody has noticed this before on SRD razors? I am in no way being a critic, I'm just wondering if this is a result of the type of stones used in the honing process?
i suppose I should just pose this question to Lynn himself. So Lynn, if you see this post and have a chance to respond I would really enjoy the chance to understand a little bit more about your process.
