3 old razors, any good for shaving?
guys, I am working my way up to strait razor shaving and I have 3 old razors that I am wondering if they would be worth the time and effort to put in shaving shape. I figure ya all would know.
1) Beau Brummel, made in Solingen Ger. marked with an 18 on the blade. handle is prob bakelite. it is in very good shape with minor discoloration on blade. will it hold an edge and be a good shaver?
2) Ludo Red Imp Solingen Ger. marked with an 133 on the blade. handle is prob red bakelite and says hand forged. blade appears to be in good shape with minor discoloration.
3) Columbia Cutlery Worcester, Mass. blade is marked extra hollow ground and war rated. handle apears to be black horn, blade is rusty. I found this one going through some stuff that showed up after one of my uncles passed away, do you think it is worth the time and effort to clean this one up and try to shave with it especialy since there is a very good chance that it was my uncle's razor?
