    You can use both sides and they are equally sharp. Yes, also they are designed for one sided shaving or so we think-har har. We have seen clips from Japan where barbers use both sides so you make your own opinion.

    What is certain is in this country we don't know very much about their history and use we kind of make it up as we go along.

    Pretty much sums it up.
    You can basically use the razor how you want but must adjust the angle for either side of blade face.
    Odd thing is I'm ambidextrous with a western but the kamisori feels wrong in my left hand.
