Good idea, Pixel! I keep a 24 razor rotation and use a different one every shave. They get stropped a few times in between shaves to keep the bevels clean, I don't peen til needed. Some never seem to need it. I find with proper stropping, edges last a long time. It is good to look at them in daylight sometimes. Inspect inside scales for lather/crud. If rust is appearing, address that. Everyone has a different environment to store razors, but I have no issues for years after applying Tufglide before first honing. Yeah, a bit on the finisher and some CroOx seems to tune them right up as necessary. None of mine are on the same cycle and some come and go, so I do it on an 'as-needed' basis.
