George Johnson 4/8 (or what is left) with ornamental flower pins about 1830-1860

Got this one last week, very used but iam usure if there was that much material removed. As i know the older blades had a different size and look in these days....i still did not hone this one i hope i can get it so far shaving with it. I cleaned and desinfected everything, polished the scales and the pins, these seem to be silver pins...great that these came out that good...

There is lot more to do, i want to polish the blade a bit more and the shank....no mirror polish but i try to remove some more pitting on this one.
