Default Any body else have a Cox and Son

I got a neat little razor about a year ago. It was a Cox and Son "Easy Shaver". I found it to be a great little razor and very comfortable to shave with and I wished to have another one but alas they are very hard to fine. Today I was looking on the bay and I found one but in not so good shape and another different razor from the same maker but also not in good condition. I also found a corkscrew and a golf club but those aren't very easy to shave with. I am sure someone who shaves with spoons might be able to make them shave but not me. Anyways I was wondering if any one here has one or used one.

Not me, I'm using my imagination to try and figure out what a "great little razor and very comfortable to shave with," looks like, 'cause I don't see a photo ........

well the camera doesn't work right now but I had posted a thread about it on here when I first got it. So I will post a link to that thread here shortly.

Here are the pics, I don't know what sight this is really and I didn't buy it from them but this is the exact same razor that I have. I think the person I bought it from must have bought it from this place.

With your latest haul, I figured you would have one in there somewhere.

nope. Ive had a sickening amount of razors pass through my hands but there are still many that come in that I don't recognize the name. tons of hdwe companies and barber supply shops and other distributers that had their mark on razors. of the ones I do recognize I cant remember the info or connections to save my life.
heres a couple pics of the "cox" stamping on the tang of mine. the rest of the blade isn't suitable for showing at present, will be a future restore project (ive been saying that for a year or so since I bought it)

Well the jimps look kinda the same pattern also the tang looks similar. I know Cox's son didn't join in the business until after his father died. So maybe it was just Cox until his son joined in. I also know they were in business from mid 1850's to the early 1900's. The box on mine has 1934 written on it but I don't think they were in business that late but maybe. They were also based in South Hampton. Atleast that's what it says on the blade.

I just shaved with it about 10 minutes ago. Definitely one of my favorite razors. It actually maybe the only one that compares to my favorite Genco.

Interesting as I have a TAYLORS "Easy Shaver" with Lister's Patent on it.

Scales are made without a wedge.

It's a larger than normal razor. Blade is longer than most of of my others.

Well now, thats peculiar. That is the same razor. Wedgless scales and all. Mine is no bigger than any other razor I have though. What does the tang read. I think it says sheffield. Thats peculiar because mine says southhampton and every where I have read says it was made in Germany. So who knows?
