Default cleaning a frameback or kamisori.

So with a standard straight, you wipe down the blade then put some oil on it.

But with a frameback or kamisori, is that enough? To clarify, I'm talking about frameback with removable blades, and kamisoris with scales on the handle. I can easily see some water getting in between the blade and frame, or handle and scales.

Would it be possible to make a razor which can be fully disassembled? Blade, frame, handle. Assuming it's a kamisori frameback.

It's pretty much all the same to me . If water has been an issue deal with it using compressed air or a WD spray or both.

If a real problem, you can get canned air in a spray can at artists' supply houses and some large craft stores.
For removable blade framebacks and Kamisoi, I just dismantle them and dry them. I have not had a rust problem and my rotation is in the shave den. I do keep the razors in free air in a rack or hanging by their tails from magnets near the sink.
There are other products for longer storage.
YMMV, See what others come up with!

+1...It is a little bit of a 'hassle' to disassemble after every shave but that's the safe bet, and it's what I do. To me it's worth it...

That sounds like a really good idea, thanks. I'll try and find one of those cans.
