They didn't come out with the flair tips until the 50's.

Going from the links provided by the 50's they were using letters for model numbers. I got no idea . I suck at this sorta thing.
It's possible they could have used a different coding for the ones in England
Yes, apparently English made Gillette s did not have a date code and were referred to as Rockets not Supper Speeds as the US ones were. Here is a thread that looks to be very informative Gillette Rocket, the refined DE. | TheShaveDen .

Thanks for the link Bob. Now I know it's a flare tip rocket and can research that for more specific information.
The other is, in my opinion, an "Aluminum Ball Tech.Travel Razor which came in many different packages around the globe.

Looks like you have the identifying pretty much squared away. It is nice to know some background on the razors you have and particularly so if there is a family connection. Thanks for asking the question in the first place because I learned a lot myself about Gillette razors from it.

Very nice DE's Ed (and sentimental too)! I've just started taking notice of the Gillette adjustables, they're great.
Thanks James. Haven't really had anything to do with DE'S but as from family wanted to know about them and may give them a shot. Found more info on the flare tip. http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/One...ite%20case.JPG
