Anyone tell me when it was made? Found it yesterday for 20 bucks and looks really beat. Did some research but can't find anything on pipe razor dates of manufacturing. I looked at the wiki here and didn't come up with a while.lot either. I know it isn't rare and the etching on the blade is very very faint. Attachment 181042Attachment 181043
The best I can do for you is say that it is post 1890-91 because it has both Sheffield and England in the tang stamp. If it was pre 1890-91 it would only say Sheffield. Can't see the whole blade from the photos but from what I can see the razor looks far from beat to me. Nice find and should clean up nicely. Honed uo it should be a good shaver, congrats.

Nice razor nd that's not beat at all. Mit even be tortous shell scales. You must have skipped over it. But wosty are common. Look under the name not the pipe. Pipe brand was one of their line of razors

Love that style of rounded scales, also agree scales look like dyed horn, tortoise has layers of overlapping color. Nice find, Pipes are great shavers.

You cannot date a Wosty by the marking including England. George marked his England prior to the act. Here is more info from Mannah.
