I recently purchased this Razor off of ebay and I wanted to know the history of it when it was made and if its a reliable/good razor. I understand this blade has a knick on it but I'm getting it fixed soon. Please let me know thank you appreciate it.

Link is bad. Is there anything on the other side. Just from the quick look. Im guessing !940-60. Its a rough guess. With razors you can not get exact dates. They just didnt keep records that detailed

Do you know anything about manufacture and worth fixing and using?
Not really. Many were bought from Germany then companies had their name put on. Yes it's worth cleaning up and using
fixing it is such a vague way of putting it. It does not look like it would take much to get it back in the stables. Basically with a razor like that you can just have it cleaned and honed and back in action. I suppose you could even just have it honed. However if you have it honed and then decide to clean it up a little there is a very high probability of wrecking the edge. You can also do custom scales. It is unlikely to more than a work horse and as such, I suggest clean hone and shave.
yeah I'm just concerned with that nick on the end of that blade in my mess me up if I use it like that.
make no mistakes that blade needs a professional honing before shaving with it if you are looking for satisfaction.
Do you have any referrals personally that you use for honing. I've messaged a few members in the classifieds that do member services no responses though.
It often takes time to get a response as everyone is working a day job with very few exceptions. I would think that there should be a few around seeing as how denver has a large meet every year. Have a look for the mile high madness thread. I'm a long way from everyone and have sent a few blades out here and there but all on this side of the border. I think one of the highest regarded is Gssixgun.
