Found this decent Johan Engstrom today... my first frameback! It's cleaning up fairly nicely as well, but there seems to be some sort of staining on the blade part (maybe old water spots?). Tried some metal polish on it, but it didn't seem to do anything with the stains... oh well.
Very faintly on the blade I can see an arrow, with the initials J.E., then below that, 1874...perhaps the year they started making razors, a patent, etc.?
Anyway, when I picked it up at the store, I thought that it had some standard scales on it, but after cleaning it up I found they were more than I expected. I'm no expert on what they might be, so I thought maybe someone here would know. I'm guessing bone or ivory perhaps? A couple of the pics show some closeouts of the texture/grain of them.
Either way, I'm very pleased with finding this for only $15!
