    Wouldn't that make the tang area a bit small to grip? How about thirds the other way, putting the pivot at 37?

    Yeah, not a great deal too long though, 3" is about 76mm do it really is only about 5/16" too long.

    Ed I don't think you are taking into account that you are not really looking at the finished razor but something that looks like a razor but everything as a 90 degree angle in the drawing which is very poor if you are asking someone a question about a piece of design and where the pivot should be, it's a poor drawing to be frank.

    Yes it is a rubbish drawing, in my opinion the pivot would be at somewhere close to the end of the 56mm and then a tail after that, maybe a 37 mm tail.
    In addition the ratio of spine to grind strikes me as dubious too, a 1/4" spine and a 3/8" grind.
