84/ 56 = 1.5
160/ 100 = 1.6
100/ 60 = 1.6
^This applies for the shank + blade, and also for the grind (A very full hollow, or frameback)
Essentially, a 5/8 razor with 3 and 2/8 blade length. Which seem pretty common.
So if you were to continue using the golden mean, where about would the pivot be placed?

Now since my math brain is now on holidays as of an hour ago for the next 4 weeks, can someone tells me the golden rule for my preferred 13/16 & 7/8 blades with the same length blade or does measuring the circumference of the smiling blade make up for said golden rule lateral length???
Or would that make the blade look freaky, like those super curved Japanese blades I can't remember the name off either LOL
You do realize your razor is 140 mm in length and 160 mm in height according to the measurements on your drawing, though I am fairly sure you just added an extra 0 to your height measurements.Quote:

84mm seems extremely long for a razor edge. You could almost cut your ear shaving your chin.

I actually just keep a few old razors in the shop and use them as reference when making razors, no since complicating things with formula's.

Yes it is a rubbish drawing, in my opinion the pivot would be at somewhere close to the end of the 56mm and then a tail after that, maybe a 37 mm tail.Quote:
